Bonnie & Boris....
Congratulations Bonnie & Boris!!!
I was honoured to be a part of my friend Bonnie’s wedding earlier this month. Looking as stunning as usual, she and Boris took their vows in beautiful Metropolitan United Church in downtown Toronto. The ceremony was very unique to say the least. I only say this because their vows taken from (or a very good rendition) a Dr. Zeuss poem, very fitting for the whimsical couple.
No longer are the day of full house trivia in the high school cafeteria, I sure hope Boris knows his stuff ;). Here are a couple of images from the big day.
Ling Sau & Barry....
The ceremony was in the heart of Main St. Markham (no not Unionville that most people seem to be familiar with). It was a touching ceremony for two wonderful friends who I’ve known for what seems like ages. The church was large and filled with family and friends watching Barry & Ivy say their vows. The Reception was at Crystal Fountain Banquet halls and was just a fun party with a traditional Chinese course meal.

Congrats Kathy & Charlie....
It’s been a busy busy past few months. Mostly work and since I deal with a lot of tax type processing, it was the busiest time of the year. As a result I fell behind in the blog posts of weddings! But here we are in April, it’s less busy and I can finally catch up on a couple of wedding posts.
The first being Kathy & Charlie. Set in the beautiful backdrop of Punta Cana (Punta Canada as the locals would often quip when they identified a Canadian) Kathy & Charlie took their vows in a tropical destination with their closest friends and family. I’ve never thought about destination weddings much until this recent trip in January but I can see the allure. Beautiful scenery, a week of time to party with your closest family and friends, sun and fun for a week, not much planning of meals if at an all inclusive…the list goes on.
Given we were going to the Dominican Republic, the wedding could have been any time that week as long as the couple had been there for 48 hours. The wedding was on a Tuesday. It was a bit windy that day but it was a nice breeze. A party of 25+ on the beach. Wonderful vows being exchanged. I’m glad I was able to share in this moment. The quirkiness of the result suited the couple perfectly and although not everyone knew each other from each side, after a week, it felt like we had known each other for years.
