Dot. The world's smallest stop-motion animation character….
A friend sent me a couple links the other day regarding this stop motion animation that she found online. I’m a huge fan of all types of animation, but there is something about stop-motion that makes it so incredible. Maybe it’s just me relating back to the old Christmas animations and it brings out my inner child. Either way it’s a fantastic form of animation.
At first this particular film "Dot” seems like any other stop-motion film, until you find out that it is the world’s smallest stop-motion animation. Dot is just the size of a pencil tip! The film was made by a group of individuals who utilized various inventive methods when creating this film. These can be seen in a “making-of” film that I’ve linked to below. The film itself was made with a high resolution (12Mp I believe) modified Nokia phone camera! Anyhow, they outline all this in their making-of video.
